Missed Connections

Waiting for the good ....
There's a limit to the suspension of disbelief which this movie crosses. A girl who is wrapped up in another, a guy who wants her, but then there's that moment when you realize, hey, she's not that great. Pretty and tall and blonde. Okay. But where'd that big heart go? It's referenced in the movie, but never shown. You know they'll end up together in the end because, hell, it's a movie. But does she deserve him? The movie doesn't prove that to be the case. Could've been much better.

Doesn't quite make it
I wanted a romantic comedy for a "Girls' Night In" with my mom and sister. The preview looked interesting. I like independent movies, and saw that it had done well at several festivals. But this movie was not what I had expected. There wasn't any energy in the script, the actors were just saying their lines. No chemistry apparent between the actors, either. From the opening scenes, it felt amateurish and lacking depth.

Painfully Terrible
I managed to get through maybe the first 5 minutes. Typically I give things more of a chance, but it was just so painful. I felt like I was watching a terrible remake of a Sex and the City episode mixed with He's Just Not That Into You, Part 5.

Some may say I should have kept watching a bit longer, but I'm pretty confident in my decision.

I wish that you could receive a refund if a movie is so terrible you can't even last 10 minutes. Oh well.
